Join us for a hands-on workshop where you'll explore the ancient art of making paint from the earth itself. Through guided instruction, you'll learn how to identify & collect mineral based pigments from rocks, clays, and soils. We'll delve into the fascinating history of pigment use across cultures and time, uncovering how early humans sourced and prepared color from their natural surroundings.

Participants will gain practical skills in refining raw, non-organic materials into usable pigments through processes like grinding, sifting, and washing. You'll also learn about different binders to mix with pigments to create paints.

Whether you're an artist, naturalist, or simply curious about sustainable, earth-based art practices, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to reconnect with the land & bring color to life from the ground beneath your feet.
