"Into Nausea" is supposed to inspire feelings of nausea, disgust, and overall uneasiness. I work with acrylic on canvas, using lines and color to create optical illusions best experienced when your eyes are slightly out of focus. The friendly but aggressive shapes that make up these paintings are called “blerghs”. The name comes from the noise I make when I reflect on what I have created. I have a deep passion for sharing my lived experience as a person with chronic nausea.
